Mifflintown, PA 17059
The mission of the International Gifts Sale is to support world artisans and craftsmen through the sale of fair trade products.
We seek to promote cultural understanding in our community by providing high-quality gift items from around the world.
Through fair trade organizations like Ten Thousand Villages, financial support allows people in developing nations to sustain their families through craftsmanship. Vendors like Women at Risk allow us to educate and rescue victims from exploitation and violence in 50 countries. Shop With a Mission assists "refugees, single mothers, widows, the physically disabled" in setting up businesses that free them from poverty. Education and More works to help disadvantaged families in Guatemala.
Each of these organizations works under a non-profit, Christian philosophy. Each of these organizations benefits from the Juniata Valley International Gifts Sale held at Cedar Grove every year. We want to continue and expand this ministry to provide more resources for struggling Christians around the world because we feel this ministry is part of what Jesus called us to do.
